The Creative Philadelphia event series is an opportunity for creative professionals of every stripe to share their ideas, build their professional networks, and plant the seeds of future collaboration.

Please join us on the evening of June 7th for a panel discussion and networking event centered on technology and the arts.  Our panel of guest speakers will share insights on how technology is being used to create art, as well as how it's changed the business of being an artist.

PANEL MEMBERS BIOS:

Nathan Solomon
Nathan is the co-founder of superfluid, an online platform which enables the successful completion of unfunded technical and creative projects by extending an individual's community of collaborators.  Nathan will discuss the utility of superfluid specifically for artists, as well as the broader ways in which he sees technology impacting the creative economy.

Jaamil Kosoko
Jaamil is Producing Executive Director of The Philadiction Movement (formerly Kosoko Performance Group), a multi-genre experimental theater company based in Philadelphia, PA. Jaamil will speak to his effective use of technology to share the ensemble's story through social media, document its work on YouTube, and support new projects with fundraising campaigns on Kickstarter.

Christopher Wink
Christopher is the co-founder of publishing company Technically Media and its technology news site Technically Philly, where he leads coverage on open government policy and other intersections of innovation and technology. As one of the primary organizers of April's Philly Tech Week, Chris will provide an update on the arts-related projects that originated during the week's events, as well as an overview of new tools and resources which artists can leverage.

David Clayton
David Clayton is a digital arts curator with Breadboard at the Science Center in Philadelphia. His research focuses on the use of DIY and emerging technologies in the visual arts and design. Clayton will discuss how artists and designers are utilizing new technologies in their work and give examples of projects that explore themes of data visualization, nanotechnology, 3D printing, physical computing and robotics.
